TRENCHING

Duct Banks

Our knowledge and experience allow us to construct duct banks with safe trench walls, smooth and stable trench floor, correct spacing of conduits and proper placement and compaction of suitable backfill.
All our duct bank installations are constructed to Electrical Safety Authority(ESA) and/or distribution utility’s standards.

For trenchless installations, either directional bore or torpedo method, we know how to plan and support the drill shots, including the additional requirements for location existing buried utilities and staging of pipe and reels.

Direct Buried Conduit

Most direct buried electrical installations involve either CSA C22.2 No. 211.2 rigid type DB2/ES2 PVC conduit or rigid PVC conduit schedule 40 and we are very familiar with both. This includes correct cleaning and preparation of joint connections, use of solvent glue, capping or termination with bell ends, and roping or stringing of conduits depending on size.
